june bug

What the hell? 2006 is half gone already?

I am busy busy busy with work, teaching (three spindle classes in June and every Friday in July!), school (ugh) and various knitterly things (yay!). So in lieu of personal knitty progress, a shot of an adorable baby sweater knit by Regina, out of one skein of my handspun in “nectarine”. Isn’t it soooo cute?

And since no blog entry of mine would be complete without a shot of yarn, here’s a finished photo of the sock yarn I spun up – it’s merino, 3 ply, and 600 yards/4 oz. Dyed turquoise and yellow, I think it’s my best yarn ever!

I have been impressed with your spinning for some time now, but this sock yarn is amazing! Beautifully spun & plied, I can’t imagine how long it will take me to get that good.

You are such an inspiration to beginners like myself, to see how far you’ve come in such a relatively short time!

And that baby sweater? Debbie Bliss, eat your heart out. ;)

You are right the sock yarn is the best! I should know I get to knit with it. Congratulations on a great sock yarn. You should be very pleased with yourself. Keep up the good work.
