go wtf

Over a month later (I think it’s longer…somehow I don’t trust that date in the sidebar), here they are!

Go With the Flow socks
Pattern: Interweave Knits, Summer 2005
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, “Watercolor”, 1.5 skeins
Needles: 2.5 mm bamboo circ
Finished: September 16, 2005

No problems here, the pattern is super easy to memorize and rather fun, too. I used a slightly larger needle than suggested because 60 stitches seemed really small to me. Pretty!

I managed to get the v-neck on Cloud right the first time…ok, actually now that I think about it, I did have to rip a few rows while decreasing for the neck. But, at least I got the edging right! It looks a little wonky, but looks fine on.

Onto the sleeves! I think I’ll have enough for full length ones, too.

A bit of progress on the Koigu skirt – I’m done 3 and 1/6 hexagons. The ends aren’t as horrendous anymore, because I can knit in about half of them. I contemplated short-row hexagons instead, but I just didn’t like the look enough.

Fun!

I’m not a huge fan of knitted skirts, but the one you’re making I do really like. The squares should be very cute. The socks came out very nice as well and the color is great.

I can’t wait to see your skirt. I tried Skating Queen (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall04/PATTskatingqueen.html) from Knitty a while back but it just wasn’t working. But I really like the idea of a knitted skirt. Seems like uncharted territory.

Love the socks, too. I think I recall the word “easy” in your post. Very important!
