a long-awaited FO

Vera Knee Socks
Pattern: my own – for my huge calves!
Yarn: Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock in “Vera”, 2 skeins and a bit
Needles: US 0 Clover dpns
Finished: November 24, 2005

I’ve got a good feeling about these staying up – I put a bunch of elastic in (more than in the photo):

On a completely unrelated note, I picked up these patterns for the cutest animals ever!

I was thinking of using my handspun – although white, that’d felt for sure!

Very nice. I need to remember that elastic trick when I finally get to my knee highs. Did you weave those in afterwards or knit them in?

I love those socks!! I’m with you in the monster calf department! Although I have to say from the picture you don’t look like you’ve got big legs at all.

Awesome! I love how very little they pooled. It’s Lorna’s Laces at its best!

I was just looking through patterns yesterday, and was so tempted to buy the sheep pattern. How cute!

Great socks… if I were a sock knitter, those would be first up! Nice IKEA dresser in the background – I have two just like it!
