olympic check in, day 3 (or is it 4?)

Body progress, as of last night:

Problem: with my gauge futzing, it’s looking a little…small. But I have faith that it’ll work out.

Sleeve progress:

I’m really not loving doing the sleeve by magic loop, but I’m definitely not doing it on dpns! Going to go pick up a shorter circ today, although it might not fit until more increases are done. I’m changing the rate of sleeve increases quite a bit, just doing them every 10 rounds or so.

Great start! Beautiful knitting, as always.

I love the colors – very wintery! So fair isle on magic loop is not a great combo?

Wow it sure looks great. Geez, what do you have against dpn’s? They’re a girl’s best friend. Or is that diamonds. Well you’ve got those too. Citius, altius, fortius!

Looking good! Heh, I went through a lot of contortions yesterday to avoid using dpns – mostly because my gauge goes completely wonky on them. I obviously should’ve tried Magic Loop – the only thing I didn’t try… I even had one of those 8″ plastic Clover needles involved at one point – that so didn’t work…

“Wow” pretty much takes care of it. It’s looking great :)

I actually like DPN’s. I’ve used magic loop before, but honestly I feel like it takes me more time to scoot around my stitches at the end of one portion, than it does for me to use DPN’s. I’m probably one of the only ones, though….heh.
