  • I am stressed.

Must have cardigan progress. It goes, fairly slowly.

I started a cardigan with the Jo Sharp Silkroad.

Very nice and touchable. Weird thing, though – the yarn’s got sort of a weird texture, not quite thick-and-thin but not smooth. You can kind of see it here…

So it’s working up a bit…oddly. I was expecting a smooth yarn. But it’s still all good.

Anyway, I’m completely overwhelmed with schoolwork at the moment. No more pictures until next week likely, but I’ll still post. Gahhh. I hate school.

  • oops.

I did it again. Elann will make me broke. The price on the highland wool went down again!

    I ordered…
10 balls of Highland Wool Tuscany Green (sweater)
4 balls of Coffee Bean Brown (christmas present scarf)
4 balls of Ink (legwarmers or a hat/mitten set for me)
    1 52″ Denise cord
1 40″ Denise cord (now I won’t have to put cords together for magic loop!)
    1 set 2.75mm Brittany double points (they’re so cheap…only $7.74)
1 set 3.75mm Brittany double points (for my sister’s socks)

Total: $103 through Paypal including shipping, although the Elann stated price was $99.95 CDN (Paypal differs slightly in the conversion).

Oy. More on actual knitting later tonight, after i do some work.

  • motorin’ along

I did actually manage to get a few things done today! Actual schoolwork was involved, and will continue to be involved! Meanwhile, here’s a couple of FO’s – excuse the indecency of ends hanging out.

    Manos scarf is done.

    Here’s a closeup.

    Manos Scarf – Christmas present
    pattern: by me
yarn: manos del uruguay, colour 110
    needles: size 10.5 Denise
    started: november 4, 2004
    finished: november 8, 2004

    Kersti handwarmers are done!

The colour blows in that picture, so here’s another one which is slightly more accurate.

    Kersti Handwarmers – Christmas present
    pattern: from knitwit
    yarn: koigu kersti, purples
needles: size 7 brittany double points
    started: october 31, 2004
    finished: november 7, 2004

And finally, here’s Phoebe! I knit this kick-ass hat by Jessie in just a couple hours yesterday.

Unfortunately…she’s a little big. Both too wide and too tall. But no biggie, it was so superquick, I’ll just rip ‘er out and try again. I can’t decide whether using both smaller needles and a smaller size would be overkill and end up too small.

I’m trying to restrain myself from starting yet another cardie for me, with the Jo Sharp Silkroad – it’s getting cold out, and it would be so fast…hm. I probably will end up starting it tonight, actually. Between all that schoolwork.
