This year will be my sixth one going to Rhinebeck, and I’m so excited! The fall light, the country air, the yarn, the cider donuts. Of course, it wouldn’t be Rhinebeck without a pile of knits to show off, so I’m working hard to get this one done in time.
It’s fingering weight, but I’m up to the yoke and pretty optimistic about it!
And then there’s this swatch, which I just knit today. I bought the yarn at my very first Rhinebeck, and it would be awfully nice to wear a sweater out of it this year (provided it’s cool enough).
I guess I have a lot of work to do, though.
This will be my first Rhinebeck! I have about 6 inches on a Creature Comforts Cardi to finish if I want a “Rhinebeck sweater”.
At least you have your yarn! :P I’m still waiting for my rhinebeck sweater yarn to arrive! I may be nuts. At least it’s short sleeved Aran weight. Good luck. See you there!
Ooh…I like the color of that first sweater! Can’t wait to see the FO. At least you’re not alone in your race to complete a Rhinebeck sweater–I just read two other blogs who are in the same situation. LOL
Huzzah for Rhinebeck season! I live on the other side of the country but get to live vicariously through all the people who are knitting pretty sweaters and attending!
Good luck on all of your rheinback sweaters.
