I’ve been meaning to do this for ages! I picked up some gorgeous Malabrigo Rios and knit up a new version of my Top Down Shoulder Warmer.
The 2015 version features expanded sizing (to fit 28-56″ bust), new photos, schematics and a spiffy new layout.
Oh, and the option to work the sleeves in the round rather than flat! Both sleeve options are given.
I actually really enjoyed knitting this one again – simple knitting in lovely yarn.
If you’ve already bought the pattern before, you should receive an email and/or Ravelry message with a link to the updated pattern.
Thanks! I have already knit this twice but will happily knit it again as it is so useful! The only problem I ran into (and I was a much less experienced knitter when I knit it) was extending the sleeves and forgetting to decrease. The sleeves are very wide around my wrist. I will pay more attention if I knit another one with long sleeves.
I love your patterns. Keep designing!!!!
This is exciting! I knitted a shoulder warmer way back in 2009 (modifying the original pattern to work the sleeves in the round). It has kept me warm in many a cold office, and people always comment on the pretty, dramatic border. Now I’m envisioning a new companion, maybe in a bright color, with fancy tubular cast on and bind off…
It’s a classic.
Lovely…like all your patterns!
Also loving your dress in these pics!
