Brown Sheep isn’t sending us all the colours of Lamb’s Pride Worsted and Bulky that we ordered – notably, we’re not getting any Bulky in “Spice”, which is the MC of the tartan jacket! I can sub other similar colours for the contrasts, but that was a really nice overall colour…d’oh. I might have to -gasp- get it online. Problem number 2, I have no credit card. I don’t think my parents would really give me theirs to buy yarn, either.

…so no pics at the moment. But believe me, I’ll post pics when I have the time! I’ve got a final tomorrow (in Phonetics) but I might be able to get pics up either afterward or Wednesday. Or maybe I’ll bring things to SnB on Wednesday and have someone else take the photos.

I’m working on my cabled top-down raglan at the moment, cruising the blogs (Carrie linked to me in her latest entry!), and I feel very guilty…must study…can’t stop cabling…I’m using Mission Falls wool (which is soft and smooth, nice to knit with!) and US 8 Denise needles. I’m doing an 8/10 cable down the front, with a nice Brittany cable needle. I may try cabling without a needle, I may not – it’s a pretty big cable, so I’m a bit unsure.

Off to study spectrograms and bilabial fricatives…

The 2x2x3x1 Ribby Cardie from ChicKnits is sooo close to being done. No pics at the moment, because my sister has claimed the digital camera for her birthday party tomorrow. I’ve changed the collar on the ribby, and I think I’m going to like it. I also have to put in the front bands and then sew in the zipper – I haven’t decided yet whether I’m going to pick up stitches for the bands, as written, or knit sew-on bands.

I’ve wound off a big ball of the Naturelle 8/8 cotton to start my Bella cardie. An executive decision on that one – I’m going to make it duster-length. So that’s a lot of knitting, but since it’s lacy perhaps it won’t be too boring.

I had realllly wanted to go down to the market for SnB tomorrow afternoon, but I just don’t think I can justify an hour travel time there and back when I should be at home studying. So I’ll just have to wait until Wednesday for that – oh well. C’est la vie.

P.S. Yes, it’s after three o’clock in the morning. Yes, I’m going to bed now.
