  • ever get tired of reading about my projects?

Yes, it’s after 2:30 in the morning. I had kind of a rough night so I needed to do something with some other part of my brain…thus this post.

The Corset Pullover has been through the wash but not yet the dryer – I should go do that, now that I think about it. I finished the red socks and tried to take pictures, but they may not turn out too well. I worked on my blue socks, too – no new socks until that one’s done. I’m past the heel and gusset decreases on the first one so it’s actually going quite quickly now that I’ve picked it up again.

But, although I traded Aven for 3 Lantern Moon needles (bringing me up to 7), I now have only 6. Yep, broke another one.

I finished one of the sleeves of the Phildar jacket and have started the second. No yardage woes (don’t tell the Knitting Goddess I said that!) because the sleeve took under 2 balls and I have 15.

I think I’ll try to get some sleep now. Oh, one more thing – Stitch ‘n Bitch at lettuce knit is on the road next week (the 13th) – we’re heading out to the Harlot’s book launch! Join us if you can, and bring your knitting! It’s at the Museum of Textiles – see you there!

  • project ramblings

Well, I don’t have any photos today because my sister is using the camera for a project, but I do have progress to report – the Silk Garden cardi is done and currently taking a bath, and the second red sock is up past the heel turn. Pictures tomorrow. So naturally, I’m thinking about new projects.

    Here’s the (rather long) queue:
    1) Phildar jacket (still haven’t received the yarn yet)
    2) Rebecca Apricot Jacket, in red Cotton-Ease
    3) a raglan cardigan that I’ve got an idea for…in black Cotton-Ease
    4) Gibson Girl pullover
    5) socks – cotton ones (Making Waves, Merino Lace Socks, Retro Rib, all from IK)
    6) T-shirt in Elann Esprit (getting more into the hotter months here)
    7) top in Schachenmayer Aurora
    8) Chickamis

I’ve also decided to make “Sideways Spencer” (sooner rather than later) by Annie Modesitt, from the Fall 2004 IK – damn, that was a good issue!

I’ll use some modifications a la Bonne Marie, and I’m going to do it in Cotton Fleece, in an olive colour that doesn’t seem to be listed on their website. Here’s the thing – I’ve had the 6 remaining skeins at the store put aside for me, but I’m worried that it won’t be enough. The pattern calls for the equivalent of 5 skeins, and I’ll be adding quite a bit of length. I might hold off until we get a new order of Cotton Fleece, and that way I’ll be sure to have enough.

  • dammit

Not my precious Lantern Moons…I was even trying to be careful. I guess it was bound to happen, sigh.
