• Winona on Twist Collective

I have a pattern in the latest issue of Twist Collective! Photos below are by Jane Heller.

    Winona

Winona is a top-down cardigan with tons of flare and slipped stitches. Super easy to wear and a great light layer for spring and summer. The Classic Elite Soft Linen has a great weight and drape!

And for once I managed to get my stuff together to knit one in my size before the issue went live! Photos of my finished version tomorrow.

P.S. As I was uploading this, I saw the horrible news from Boston. Everyone, stay safe, hug your families and do what you need to do to take care of yourself.

    Escarpment

Escarpment is a lovely everyday cardigan with Elongated Garter Stitch sleeves and bodice. The V-neck and hip darts are flattering and easy to work.

Escarpment is knit seamlessly from the top down with raglan sleeves. The body is worked flat, with the sleeves worked in the round. Bands are picked up and knit once the body is complete. Note that this cardigan does not have fastenings – shown pinned closed with a lovely fabric pin from Jenna Rose.

Meant to be worn with 0-2” / 0-5cm ease at the bust. For the best fit, measure a sweater you like the fit of, and make the size closest to it. Shown in size 37.5” / 88cm with zero ease.

    shetland #2

I found another bag of the same Shetland fibre while digging through the stash! I spun it up quickly – the second skein is 225 yards.

    new spinning project

Also dug out some old Ashland Bay merino fibre for a longer-term spinning project – there’s at least a pound of this stuff. I was sure I’d spun up more than one bobbin already though…will have to take another look!
