    deep south fibers logo-large

My patterns are now available for wholesale through Deep South Fibers!

I’m very excited to be working with DSF – they do great printing work and also wholesale lots of other great designers like Ysolda and Stephen West. Plus, since they’ll be produced in the US, the shipping cost will be significantly lower to American yarn stores than when I was producing them up here in Canada. Canadian customers – don’t worry, you can still order from Deep South as well!

If you’d like to see my patterns in print at your local yarn store, please pass this on!

Don’t worry, it doesn’t actually look like this in Toronto right now – I took these photos way back at the tail end of last winter! Then I decided since the warmer weather was coming, I’d sit on the pattern for a little awhile. It’s the perfect time to knit one of these up now. When the chilly weather arrives you’ll be ready to go!

    LUTHERIE

A perfect layer for those extra-cold days or as a cozy jacket, this top down sweatercoat is sure to find a perfect spot in your wardrobe! Two strands of worsted weight yarn are held together for a cozy marled look and warm fabric.

Shaped through the waist for a fitted look, and knit in one piece from the neck down with shaped buttonbands for a fun twist – they incorporate short rows so that they’re wider towards the bottom of the sweater. You can customize the length of the sleeves and body easily and it’ll still knit up quickly and easily.

    Technical Editing by Jaya Purswani.
Shown in size 37” / 94cm with zero ease.
Special thanks to Mary-Heather for the awesome name!

  • Dew Point!

I had hoped to get this pattern up before the end of August, but well, the end snuck up on me pretty quickly! One last summery item, and hey, if you live in the Southern Hemisphere you’ve got lots of time to knit one before your summer!

    Dew Point Shrug

    DEW POINT SHRUG

A fun and quick top-down shrug is a perfect layering piece for transitional weather – give those fun summer dresses a chance for cooler weather, or just keep the air conditioned chill off in warmer climates.

Dew Point is knit seamlessly from the back neck down in lightweight yarn with a pretty lace border all the way around. It uses a small amount of yarn and is great for showing off those luxury yarns that are just too pretty for socks.
    Shown in Back Size 15” / 38cm.

    Technical Editing by Jaya Purswani.
Special Thanks to Mary-Heather Cogar for pattern editing.

    Dew Point Shrug

    SIZES
The back size is measured from the outer edge of armpit to armpit – not centered under your arm. Get a friend to help measure your back, or measure across your own front from just where your arm and chest meet, above your breasts. Note that if you are busty, you may take a smaller size than usual because the shrug only fits across the back! If you are between sizes or unsure, knit the smaller size.

    Back Sizes: 13 (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)” / 33 (35.5, 38, 40.5, 43, 45.5, 48, 51)cm
    Upper Sleeve Measurement: 12.25 (13, 13.25, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18)” / 31 (33, 33.5, 35.5, 38, 40.5, 43, 45.5)cm

    YARN
Sport or light DK weight yarn.
