    Creative title, eh? I’m rather tired tonight, so a not-so-interesting title it is.

    Six months exactly after being cast on, Cozy was off the needles and on the wires.

    It took all my long wires (6) to block, and is about the same length or a bit longer than my bed. Luckily it dried quickly, so I could reclaim me floor! Modelled pic as soon as I can manage – it is so very comfy and soft, well worth the wait.

    I’ve finished one sleeve of the wrappy sweater and am about halfway done the second – just straight knitting to the cuff. The body’s still up in the air; I’m not sure what I’m going to do with it. Maybe the button thing, this time.

    Last night while reading “These Happy Golden Years” (eighth in the “Little House” series by Laura Ingalls Wilder….ah, comfort reading) I cast on for a v-neck sweater, henceforth known as “Cloud”, but managed to twist the cast-on the first time through.

    A rip, re-cast-on and a couple episodes of CSI has given me this:

    That’s into the second ball already, and I have 10 – I hope it’s enough. If not, 3/4 length sleeves it is!

    P.S. Thanks for all the compliments on Mon Petit Chou and er…my behind! I don’t know that I’ll wear them alllll that much, because they don’t fit under normal trousers and are a bit lumpy for under skirts, but hey, at least they only took 2 days!

    I finished up the Mon Petit Chou hipsters, and they are so cute!

    You can probably see some clear elastic sticking out near the top, I haven’t quite figured out how to secure that in yet. I laced up the sides with the same yarn. Here’s a modelled (and cropped) shot:

    I also managed to finally finish a go with the flow sock. I think the next one will be faster (I hope).

    The colour’s very accurate in that picture – and as you can see, my light tent technique really does consist of me just sticking my project under my topsheet.

    I’ve been spending some quality time with my wonderful swift and winder, preparing for some new projects.

    Check out that stack of handspun goodness on the right! That’s for a shawl – there’s going to be another colour as well, but that one’s still drying. In the middle are some lorna’s laces sock, for the second go with the flow sock and some sort of knee sock, probably. On the left is a stack of Elann Highland Chunky that’s been knit twice and is still holding up – I’m planning on doing the “Urban Aran” from Patons. I’ve already started once, but then I realized that I was way off on the sizing and ripped it out. I hope it’ll work out this time.

    One last thing – my cheap retractable tape measure finally died, and I killed it. I pulled it out too far/too fast when trying to measure Cozy, and something broke inside. I need a new one.

    I know I’ve been pretty lax on the posting lately, mainly because I just don’t have time! I finished the inclass portion of driving school this week, and the incar starts next week! Eek!

    Meanwhile I’ve started (and hope to finish shortly) a quick project – mon petit chou (the bottoms) from knitty.

    I know I’ve made mistakes in it, especially in the back short rows, but meh. I’m thinking that when I lace up the sides, I’ll figure out what the right length for the laces is and then cut and sew the ends together, rather than having bows. Then maybe I can actually wear these under clothes – going to line the “between-leg interlude”, too.

    I’ve also been sllllooooowly working on the wrappy sweater (minisweater v.2).

    Slowly coming along also are the go with the flow socks – they aren’t going with the flow very quickly, that’s for sure. Although when I actually work on it, it goes pretty quickly…hm, maybe that’s the thing!
