    Hi!

I’m back from Ottawa to a very busy week, so I don’t have a lot of time to blog right now. But I’ll be back soon with photos, stories, and lots of new patterns too!

    strawberries!

I had fabulous time going to 3 different markets in 3 days! And I came home with a flat of strawberries and a huge basket (over 5 pounds) of Quebec wild blueberries. Mmmm.

I seem to be running in colour families these days!

On the needles, a more interesting (and hopefully better-fitting), top down raglan. Mmmm this yarn is so soft! I got it in Paris, it’s Plassard Meri-Cash8. 90% merino, 10% cashmere, with lots of plies.

    a more interesting raglan

Off the needles, plain ribbed socks, top down, but with red toes! Ultra Alpaca Light. I’ve now got a red pair with grey toes on the go.

I’m headed to Ottawa for a weekend away – have a good one!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

    kaua'i shawl, blocked

The shawl I started in Hawaii out of Koigu is off the needles and blocked – the pattern’s even in pretty good shape too. It’ll be ready soon. It didn’t use 2 skeins of Koigu as I’d hoped, but I’m happy with the size using 3 skeins – it’s closer to a full size shawl, 23 inches deep and 63 inches across the top. And it has a summery surprise in the stitch pattern!

It still needs a name though.

And since that shawl’s finally off the needles, I’m back on board with my Honeybee lace cardigan. It’s almost done, just the collar to go. Then I have to find some buttons, hmmm.
