  • ASC tank = all done

    Et voila.

    A slightly more flattering pic…

All Seasons Cotton tank (maybe i should come up with better names for my projects, eh?
Yarn: Rowan All Seasons Cotton, 4.5 skeins
Needles: Denise US 9 (5.5 mm)
    Pattern: my own
    Started: May 6, 2005
    Finished: May 14, 2005

It’s not my best work, and isn’t the most slimming, but it’s super comfy and was fast. I think I’ll be sticking to lighter weights for closer-fitting garments, though…

Anyway, in other news…progress on ubernatural. I’m making the sleeves longer, probably to 3/4 length. I’m a tad worried about the smallness factor…but I think it’ll be ok.

And here’s the progress on the Wavy Skirt – I’ve got about 20 more rows of feather and fan (of over 250 stitches!) and then the lace edging, which is fun but definitely time consuming.

Leslie said she was able to subscribe to my new feed via bloglines, but I can’t seem to see it. Hm.

  • please hellllppppp

Well, I’ve been working on getting my feed to work for so long that the sun has gone down and I haven’t taken any pictures of the finished ASC tank. So ha, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow or possibly later tonight.

Sigh. I think the feed is working now, minimally (the link in the footer has been changed) but under its current code, I’ll have to hand code and update it every time I write an entry, and you’ll only get that the blog has updated and the entry’s title in bloglines.

It was so easy when I had Blogger, it did the feed automatically! WordPress is supposed to do it too, except for the fact that it just. don’t. work.

In conclusion, I’m frustrated and eating PC Dark Chocolate Peppermint melts while trying to figure out how I can get my php feed to work. In the meanwhile, Bloglines isn’t recognizing the new feed yet but give it a few days.

I haven’t been able to knit because of this stupid thing! Someone better help, or else there’s just not going to be a feed.

Knitting update later (when I’m calmer) or tomorrow.

  • finally, time for a real update.

I’ve been so busy lately and out of the house that it’s been difficult to blog! But since summer session is starting up on Monday, I’m sure I’ll be here procrastinating away ;)

Anyway, the ASC tank is done! This pic is pre-neckline crochet. Oy, that crochet was a pain – the neckline was fine, but the armholes were horrible. I ended up ripping about three times. I finally ended up doing one round of single crochet, then one round of reverse single crochet. I didn’t do the reverse sc on the neckline, but I might do it if it’s curling after it’s been blocked (which is currently). I’m really happy with how the top, especially the neckline, turned out.

An FO pic shall be up soon, followed by the pattern (provided I can remember what I did!). Vicki – I used colour 190, which appears to be discontinued.

    In other news, remember this?

Well, it wasn’t working out between the Phildar jacket and me, so riiiiiip. It’s now being reincarnated into Ubernatural from magknits. Loving it.

I think I may need to ask for some help on the crochet on Soleil – I didn’t mind messing up the ASC tank, but Soleil’s so pretty, I don’t want to screw it up.

Off to knit – I’m hoping to weave in the ends on Soleil, and work on Ubernatural and the Wavy skirt – lots of things to do tonight!

Oh, and I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention – I received 5 balls of Strawberry Cream, sent all the way from Seattle from Karma! Thanks soooo much Karma!!
