cleanup

Time to get some things off the WIP list!

Goodbye, retro rib sock. Started in October and only this much done? I’m pretty sure this isn’t going to work out.

In more successful news, I’m working on the collar for the Urban Aran – I think I’ll probably finish that tonight, then block tomorrow.

And since the Retro Rib is toast, I need a plain sock to work on whenever – in Fleece Artist sock, Renaissance colourway. Aren’t the colours fabulous? I think this would’ve been a great yarn to do a pair of Jaywalker socks in, but I’m really wanting the plain sock about now.

I finally gave into my urge to buy some Blue Sky Alpaca – I bought 2 skeins of bulky in brown. Super warm scarf, here I come!

Why didn’t you get along with the Retro Rib sock? It sure looks pretty to me.

As usual – your stuff is gorgeous. The Urban Aran is looking fab!! Can’t wait to see the complete!

Your Urban Aran has inspired me to knit one of my own. I just ordered the pattern from Herschnerr’s. Any suggestions on how to pull of the cardigan mod?

Hey Laura – I knit the retro rib socks for my mom and wasn’t too thrilled with them either. I won’t be making them for myself anytime soon!

I remember the pattern and that I liked the Retro Rib socks, but haven’t looked at the pattern details. If it didn’t appeal to you now, maybe later, maybe never, but as fast as you knit, if the socks had only progressed that far since October, things weren’t looking too good for that sock then! Let ‘er rip! Can’t wait to see your finished knits. Everything always looks so lovely.

Good for you, ripping out those nagging projects… That alpaca looks very cozy.
